Ao Leuk is on the east side of Ko Tao, protected from August's prevailing westerly winds, so the water is usually very quiet. The moorings used by dive and snorkeling boats (like the green and pink ones in this photo) were in about 15 feet of water very near some good coral. We took the mooring further out in nearly 30 feet but were still able to see the bottom. We enjoyed good snorkeling on both sides of this bay.
